Pond Answers is a free knowledge base dedicated to helping pond owners and enthusiasts maintain and improve their ponds. The site is entirely free to use and was created out of my personal passion for ponds, fish, water features, and everything related to aquatic life.

A little bit about me

My name is David and as you may have guessed, I absolutely love Garden Ponds and Fish Aquariums.

I didn't mean to Push him in

My first experience of garden ponds was at a young age when I pushed my brother in to my parents pond whilst he was trying to retrieve a tennis ball - I felt so bad for the Fish (not my brother) that I always vowed to have my own pond when I grew older.

As a Pond Owner now for over 30+ years myself I understand how the smallest of changes can have terrible effects on your pond, and with this website I plan to address each any every one of your questions with easy to understand answers.

The majority of the information provided on PondAnswers.com is based on my own experiences and solutions. However, what works for one person may not work for another.

For example, my current pond is a 2.4m x 2.4m raised sleeper pond, and the maintenance required for it is slightly different compared to my previous 2m x 2m ground-dug pond.
